Know before you go

Reservations and fees
Some wineries here are by appointment only or strongly recommend reservations, while others keep regular open hours. Confirm tasting fees directly with each winery.
Getting there
Head west from Boise on Interstate 84 toward Caldwell, allowing 30 to 60 minutes. Exit 33 leads to Highway 55 and the main part of the trail, though some wineries use other exits.
Best time to visit
Visits work year-round: spring brings blossoms along the drive, fall is harvest, and many wineries host summer vineyard dinners. Summer days run hot and nights cool, so bring a layer.
Getting around
Wineries are scattered across farmland, so pick a few stops rather than all in one day, and many let you bring a picnic lunch. Plan a designated driver or a guided tour from Boise.

Live music, food trucks, release tastings and vineyard dinners fill winery calendars here, and September brings a month of harvest events across the trail.
