Wineries in Louisiana

The state tourism office's winery list puts wineries in the north, around Shreveport and Monroe, and on the Northshore (St. Tammany Parish), which faces New Orleans over Lake Pontchartrain. Louisiana shares the Mississippi Delta, a federally recognized American Viticultural Area (AVA), with Mississippi and Tennessee. Pierce's disease, a bacterial illness of vines, kills most European-type wine grapes in the Southeast. Native muscadines resist it, and so do some bunch-grape varieties. Plan a designated driver, a rideshare or a tour for each tasting day.

Cruv groups places by wine region where a state has established ones, and Louisiana has none in its list yet. Open the app to see every place Cruv lists here on the map, with what is open now and upcoming events.
