Wineries in Rhode Island

Visit Rhode Island, the state tourism office, groups its winery listings under four of its tourism regions: Blackstone Valley, Newport County, South County, and Warwick & West Bay. Under Newport County it lists wineries in Little Compton, Middletown and Portsmouth. Middletown is on Aquidneck Island. The office ties its wines to the coastal location and a spring-through-fall climate, and some wineries make fruit wines and ciders too. Southeastern New England (1984), a federally recognized American Viticultural Area (AVA) shared with Connecticut and Massachusetts, covers southern and eastern Rhode Island. Plan a designated driver, a rideshare or a tour for each tasting day.

Cruv groups places by wine region where a state has established ones, and Rhode Island has none in its list yet. Open the app to see every place Cruv lists here on the map, with what is open now and upcoming events.
